Hands to Serve, Hearts to Love: The Work Continues Through Dining in Discipleship

This past weekend, Deliverance Driven Ministries was once again honored to serve our community through Dining in Discipleship and The Lazarus Project. By the grace of God, every person who came left with food in hand and love in their heart.

Saturday Early Morning/Brunch

Mr. Saint Christopher offered to sing a song unto the Lord — a heartfelt tune he and Mr. Reggie created together. A moment of worship right in the midst of service, reminding us that praise has no walls or stages.

On Saturday morning, between 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM, our team prepared and served a simple but nourishing meal: egg and cheese bagels, donuts, and bottled water. In total, 70 individuals were fed. It was more than just food; it was fellowship, prayer, and encouragement during the early hours of the day.

Sunday Afternoon

Sunday’s service blessed even more souls. We created 110 meals, serving 85 people in total. Many received not just one, but two meals, as tuna salad bagels and chicken salad bagels were prepared in abundance. No one was turned away. No one left hungry. Truly, there was more than enough of a living testimony of God’s provision and care for His people.

The Impact

These meals are more than food; they are a doorway into hope, dignity, and the love of Christ. They connect directly to our mission: to not only meet physical needs but also minister to the soul. Every sandwich and every bottle of water reminds those in need that they are seen, valued, and loved.

How You Can Help

This work is made possible by the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners. As we continue, we invite you to join hands with us. Here are a few ways you can help:

ree

  • Food donations: canned tuna, chicken, bagels, bottled water, snacks, and fresh produce.

  • Clothing donations: shoes, coats, socks, and weather-appropriate attire for men and women.

  • Hygiene items: soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine care products.

  • Other essentials: blankets, backpacks, gloves, and cell phone charging packs. Every donation, big or small, makes a direct difference in someone’s life. Together, we can ensure that not only are bellies filled, but hearts are touched with the love of Christ.

Closing Word

As a ministry, we are humbled to witness God multiplying resources and using our hands to bless His children. Thank you to everyone who prays, gives, and serves alongside us. We couldn’t do this without you, and we believe this is just the beginning of what the Lord will do through Dining in Discipleship and The Lazarus Project.
